EVENT: Summer Global Teacher Seminar: Water Security For The 21st Century

A new seminar developed jointly by the Office of International Affairs’ area studies centers, School of Earth Sciences and the Department of Teaching and Learning at The Ohio State University will provide a broad introduction to the critical issues relating to the world’s freshwater resources for Central Ohio middle and high school social studies and science teachers.
Date: June 6 – 10, 2016, 9- 3 daily

- Scientific and political facets of the world’s leading freshwater issues
- Hearing from experts at The Ohio State University who specialize in water issues across the globe
- Exploring how to connect these issues to state standards
- Translating new knowledge into lesson plans that will challenge, educate and inspire students to learn more about water security issues
