Tanzania Country Director, Senior Research Associate
Rebecca is the Tanzania Country Director, Senior Research Associate of the Global Water Institute.
As Country Director, Rebecca assists with development of Tanzania-based programming, providing inputs on program structure and creating technical content to guide program development. She also serves as the key interface for Tanzania-based government, university, NGO and other international organizations and partners. As Senior Research Associate, Rebecca develops and manages collaborative research activities related to GWI’s project objectives in Tanzania.
Before joining GWI in February 2015, Rebecca completed an MS and PhD in Hydrology at MIT, worked as a technical writer for the US Department of Agriculture and as an environmental engineering consultant in Australia, and spent time living in Niger, Mexico, and Canada. She also holds a Masters of Environmental Management from the University of Queensland, a B.E. in Environmental Engineering and a B.A. in Asian Studies from the University of Western Australia.
