Like most complicated water resource issues, harmful algal blooms have many causes, many consequences, and touch many issues besides just water. That’s why Ohio State and partners approach the problem by looking at the whole system—from field to faucet—to develop integrated solutions that help communities deal with algal blooms in the present and prevent them in the future.
