Lead Systems Engineer
As Lead Systems Engineer, Jeff Melaragno helps develop systems solutions for the Global Water Institute’s stakeholders.
In addition to formulating applied research activities, Melaragno co-manages two projects in Tanzania: the Sustainable Village Water Systems pilot project in Singida, and the USAID Water and Development Alliance project which is developing 26 village water systems in five different regions.
Before coming to GWI, Melaragno served as project manager for Ohio State’s Utica Shale Energy and Environment Laboratory. Prior to joining The Ohio State University, he spent 18 years at Battelle as an Innovation Manager directing research and development activities for National Security and Energy and Environment clients. He also spent ten years in the Air Force as a systems engineer developing new aircraft systems. Melaragno holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
